Paul Sakurai-Rodriguez

Paul brings over 17 years of financial aid industry experience working in almost every facet of financial aid with colleges and other financial aid-related companies throughout California. Paul joins ProEd from his most recently held position with Wachovia Education Finance as a Regional Account Executive. Paul worked for four different school sectors, California State University, a four-year public institution, graduate/professional, community college and proprietary. In addition, he spent three years working at EDFUND as a Financial Aid Training Specialist where he trained on key financial aid topics throughout most of the Western United States.
Paul has been very active in the California financial aid community. Since 1996, Paul has been a CASFAA and CCCSFAAA member and has worked on numerous association committees, most recent being the 2006 and 2007 CASFAA Program and 2000-2006 CASFAA Mini-conferences. Paul has earned two CASFAA “committee of the year” awards for his involvement as Co-chair of the 2001 CASFAA Mini-conference “Thinking Outside the Box” and committee member of the 2005 CASFAA Mini-conference “From the Counter to the Boss”.
Paul joins Dr. Paul Gilroy, President and CEO along with the rest of the ProEducation Solutions team. “I look forward to continuing my commitment to the financial aid community by providing a superb level of customer service in addition to developing lasting relationships along the way” states Mr. Sakurai-Rodriguez. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Paul to our highly experienced team of aid professionals at ProEd,” said Dr. Gilroy. He brings a wealth of knowledge of the aid industry and understands the needs of aid professionals from his work at many different types of instituions.”
Paul looks forward to continuing his contact with the numerous financial aid professionals whom he has met throughout his years in California and Hawaii while expanding those relationships into Arizona, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and New Mexico.
